Welcome:

The 17th International Conference on Environmental Bioindicators will be held in Moscow. We are looking forward to meeting you in Moscow, the capital of Russia, the largest European cultural, historical, educational and industrial centre.

The conference program will involve plenary lectures of invited speakers, oral presentations of the participants, poster sessions and round table discussions. Keep current - the Preliminary Program will be updated frequently.

Convention Centre of the Agroindustrial Ministry of Russia

8 km from Moscow (10 min by bus from the metro station "Yugo-Zapadnaja")

 

13 conference rooms are available for 30-300 people

Lunches and coffee breaks will be served at the same centre

 

Accommodation

Hotel of the Convention centre (apartments) 5 min walking from the Conference site

(2-rooms Apartments, 1 person in the room, full pension, arrival 18/05/09, departure 23/05/09)

Cost Single Occupancy - 550 EUR (614 USD*) 

Cost Double Occupancy - 450 EUR (503 USD*)

*all exchange rates are as of 26 January.

 

Cultural program:

-          a bus tour around Moscow

-          a visit to the Kremlin Museums and Cathedrals

-          a visit to one of the Golden Ring towns with lots of  landmarks

Instrument-making companies as well as institutions offering laboratory equipment and/or chemical products on Russia’s market are invited to participate.

Will be held in parallel with the 4th Congress of the Russian Society for Mass Spectrometry

Registration  fee* (exchange rates are as of 26 January):

General participants  (oral & poster presenters; other professional attendees) - 460 EUR (514 USD)

ISEBI members - 350 EUR (391 USD)

Students – 280 EUR (313 USD)

The registration fee will cover the rent of the Convention Centre cost, invitation expenses, conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches 19-21 May, get-together reception, meeting and transportation from the airport.

 

Accompanying individuals – 230 EUR (257 USD) 

This fee will cover invitation expenses, get-together reception.

  

* All non-Russian citizens are required to apply for a Russian visa. Additional fee will be charged for visa support (40 Euro), conference dinner and cultural program

** Amount of fee is valid till 1 May, after this date the fee will increase by 25%.

 

Registration and Abstract Submission:

All participants are requested to register in advance via filling the Registration form for participating at the web-site.

 

Manuscript Submission (optional):

All presented papers (oral or poster) will be considered for publication in a special conference issue of Environmental Bioindicators. In order to be considered, papers must be received by close of conference or by 25 May 2009. Manuscripts can be submitted to the EBI Editor-in-Chief at Zillioux@bioindicators.org, or delivered in person in electronic format at the conference. All papers will be processed through standard peer review. Further information for authors can be found on the ISEBI website.

Abstract submission deadline:

28 February 2009 for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts. Later submissions are accepted but will not be in the Book of Abstracts - single copies of later submissions will be provided for attendees.

 

Abstracts:

Abstracts should be presented in Microsoft Word and send to mail@vmso.ru. The volume of abstract should not exceed 1 page (Times New Roman 12 points, 1 line space, 1-inch margins on all sides). Please include title, names of authors, affiliations and e-mail addresses.
